Missions

Serving Local Families

The Mission Projects at the United Church of Faith include many programs. To kick off the school year, the church sponsors at school supply give away for families. The Keota School District supply list is used to stock the items. Families come with their students and are furnished with everything from backpacks, paper and markers to compasses, earbuds and kleanex.

During the school year, students can participate in Operation Backpack, which fills backpacks weekly with small meals and snacks for the weekend.

For the Christmas season, the angel tree is decorated with paper ornaments that list wishes for underserved children. The United Church of Faith and St. Mary's Parish work together to fill these needs. Families also receive a food basket.

Throughout the year, a food pantry is open the last Sunday of the month and offers non-perishable food and certificates for fresh food and the local grocery store.
